Advise on Finding Help

Finding Help: In order to find service providers with the goods and services you may need, you will first need information on where you can find those service providers.  You will need information from sources such as; VSC's Website (this site), CHIP's Handbook for Help, or calling 2-1-1, plus you will need access to a phone and/or Internet services.  If you do not have access to the internet, you can visit any library and use one of their computers with internet service.  If you cannot use a computer and/or type, most libraries have staff on hand that will help you.  Please don't be afraid to ask for help.

Goods & Services: When calling service providers for help, it is recommended that you call more than one service provider for the goods and services you think you need. Usually, no one service provider can provide you or your family with everything you need. It is recommended that you consult with an experienced counselor, support coach, mentor, case manager, or Veterans Service Officer (VSO) from one or more of the below service providers that regularly works with Veterans and active Military personnel, ExOffenders or the Homeless. By having one of them interview you, they can better help you determine what goods, services, programs, or benefits you may need and/or be entitled too.
